SNEAK PEEK...

Congratulations to Kate and Nick who celebrated their wedding Saturday surrounded with the love of family and friends!  A beautiful and fun couple who met at UNH while in college.  The location was a quaint barn on a family residence in Stratham, New Hampshire. The weather was in the seventies, partly sunny and perfect for an outdoor wedding.  The day was stunning from getting ready at the bride’s family home in Hampton Falls to celebrating under the stars with their guests at her Aunt and Uncle’s picturesque residence.

Wishing you both many more years of love, happiness and good health!

Runaway Farm Sneak Peek...

Last year Reese Williams asked me to photograph her beautiful family and this year it was even more special to be able to capture her sweet dad, Mr. Albin Conkey, as well as her new puppy, Raisin!  She invited me to her father's stunning residence, Runaway Farm in South Berwick Maine.  I felt like I had taken a step a back in time and her dad's hospitality and graciousness even furthered my feelings.  What a wonderful property that I would have loved to capture every nook and cranny of it's quintessential New England charm.

Thank you Reese for inviting me to capture all the beauty of your loved ones at a place that is near and dear to your heart.

I am honored to have my work in an office that I deeply value! A BIG thank you to Kenny Peterson for doing all the measuring and hanging for me...because he knows that I fare much better with a camera than a hammer.

Copy of The "F word"...

Photographers will drop the F word like a trucker...

NO, I'm not talking about the infamous F word you're thinking of...get your head out of the gutter!  I'm talking about F stops.  F stops, also known as focal ratios are critical to getting  a perfect photograph, or maybe perfect in the eye of the photographer.  In simple terms, an F stop contributes to the amount of light and depth of field in the image.  Altering an F stop can drastically alter a photograph without touching one other setting on the camera...

Check out the images below that were captured from the same point of view with only their F stops changed... Can you spot the differences?

So, try it out.  Go ahead and drop your F stops like a trucker...
